The official UIDAI portal is the primary method — download using your Aadhaar number, Enrolment ID (EID), or Virtual ID (VID). You can also choose Masked Aadhaar from here.

  • 1Go to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and click Download Aadhaar
  • 2Select Aadhaar Number (or EID or VID) and enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number
  • 3Complete the captcha and click Send OTP

UIDAI launched the new Aadhaar App in 2025–26 with face-based authentication — no OTP, no SMS dependency. You authenticate using your face and access your Aadhaar digitally. Particularly useful if your mobile number has changed and you haven't updated it yet.

Dispatched within 5 working days, delivered in 5–15 days. Contains QR code, hologram and security features. No mobile number required to order — you can use TOTP from mAadhaar. Track delivery status via SRN number on the same portal.

⚠️ No Registered Mobile Number? Here's What to Do

If your mobile number is not registered with UIDAI (or you've changed it), you cannot download Aadhaar online via OTP. Options: (1) Visit nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Enrolment Centre — get printout for ₹30, or update mobile number for free (till June 14, 2026). (2) Use the new Aadhaar App with face authentication — no mobile required. (3) Order PVC card — doesn't need registered mobile. Find nearest centre at uidai.gov.in → Locate Enrolment Centre.

✅ Free Aadhaar Update Until June 14, 2026

UIDAI has extended free online Aadhaar document update until June 14, 2026. Update your Proof of Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (POA) documents online at myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in → Document Update — completely free, no visit required. After June 14, document updates will cost ₹50.

Most online methods require an OTP on your registered mobile. If your number is not registered or has changed, options are: (1) Use the new Aadhaar App with face authentication — no mobile number needed; (2) Visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra for a ₹30 printout; (3) Update your mobile number at an enrolment centre first (free till June 14, 2026). Ordering a PVC card also doesn't always require a registered mobile.
